Our journey started with a 9am departure from South Philly.
Our 1st stop – The Cape May Zoo. I love this place. This is a hidden gem and it’s FREE!!! All that is suggested upon entry is a donation. Ending our visit at the reptile house we decided to hop in the car for a ten minute ride towards the Cape May waterfront. Going on a recommendation we pulled into the parking lot of Lucky Bones. A family friendly place with a wallet friendly menu.
After satisfying everyone’s appetite and with a beach bag in the trunk we were destined for the shandy shores. But not without a quick drive by to where Tom and I tied the knot. I thought it would be a hoot to show the kids where it all began.
The Southern Mansion –
I just love the charm of this quaint seaside town. It will always hold a special spot in my heart. 2/11/05 ❤️
Suggesting not to spend money for beach tags we headed to the next town over and one of my favorite childhood haunts. Diamond Beach in the Wildwood Crest. The water in August is splendid. I forgot how much I loved it. It was an absolute gorgeous day!
After three hours of fun in the sun we finished it off with a trip to the ice cream parlor before our journey home. The Seashell has been around forever. It’s classic Wildwood.
Twelve hours of fun were had by all!
